These are small paint trays that are packed per 10,000 pieces in a box. The demand for these products has increased very sharply in recent years, the production last year was about 6 million units. In order to meet this demand, a production line has been set up that allows 24\/7 production.<\/p>

The sprues\/waste products that arise during this process are removed from the mold by means of a robot and thrown into a grinding mill. so that they can be ground again and reused in the process. Reusing these sprues ensures that waste is prevented during production.<\/p>

We received an application for a product in greenhouse automation that used to be made of metal, this had various disadvantages such as damaging other parts and it is expensive to purchase. By adding more material to one side, it is possible to move the center of gravity. The question was put to us whether it is also possible to make these products in plastic. Thickening the product on one side was not an option because this would make the plunge into the product too great and the center of gravity would not be moved sufficiently.<\/p>

We have come up with the option of injecting a weight into the product so that the center of gravity moved. In order to be able to produce this in large series, we also took care of the automation for this. The weights are loaded into the mold fully automatically from a vibrating drum by a 6-axis robot. Packaging for paint<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The production of paint packaging for painters increased strongly. The packaging, a box, consisting of 2 unequal parts which are connected by means of a hinge. A division has been made in the bottom for various paint products, the lid is flat on the inside to allow mixing of colours.<\/p>

Production of both parts takes place simultaneously with a 1 + 1 mold. Previously, the hinges of both halves were clicked together by packaging employees and then the complete box was packed. This was a laborious operation because, in addition to assembling, first both halves which were mixed in a large box had to be selected. Due to the increased numbers, there was a need to run fully automatic production 24\/7. In this production, the loose parts are removed from the mold by the robot.<\/p>

First of all, the sprue is placed in the grinding mill so that this material is not lost. After this step, the bottom of the paint box is placed in a frame. The 6-axis robot clicks the top onto the bottom of the box by means of a rotating movement. After the hinge connection has been made, the click closure of the product is closed and the product is placed in a box.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
